The event runs on select December weekends through New Year’s Eve, enchanting visitors of all ages. Each evening, Brookgreen’s staff lights more than 8,000 hand-placed candles, their warm flicker beautifully complementing the garden’s million-strong LED lights. Floating on water, hung in trees, and nestled across fields in hurricane lamps, glass orbs, and mason jars, the candles fill the Gardens with a soft glow. From 4–9 p.m., guests can stroll the paths with a warm cup of cider, enjoy the sounds of holiday music, and take in the season’s spirit with family and friends. For those seeking an added touch of holiday magic, the “Sparkle & Fun Package” is a perfect upgrade. This package includes a glass of wine or cider and special holographic glasses that transform each light into a dazzling array of color and sparkle, making the Gardens feel even more festive.
