COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Columbia Food & Wine Festival (CFWF) has grown into one of the Southeast’s premier culinary events, drawing thousands of food lovers and industry professionals to celebrate the rich flavors and talent that define the Midlands’ dining scene. What started in 2018 as a one-day tasting event has evolved into a five-day extravaganza, showcasing over 274 culinary partners across 45+ events from Northeast Columbia to Lexington.
A Culinary Festival with Purpose
Beyond offering an unforgettable food experience, the Columbia Food & Wine Festival has deepened its community impact by transitioning to a nonprofit organization under the Post and Courier Foundation (501(c)(3)). This shift allows for increased funding opportunities to support local restaurants, chefs, wineries, and hospitality professionals while also benefiting service-oriented nonprofit organizations.
“We’re excited about what this means for the festival’s future,” said Vickie Davis, festival co-director. “As a nonprofit, we can reinvest more into the industry, amplify the voices of our hospitality community, and continue showcasing Columbia as a true food destination.”
What to Expect at the 2025 Columbia Food & Wine Festival
This year’s festival promises bigger bites, bolder flavors, and a more immersive experience for guests. Attendees will have the chance to meet local chefs, mixologists, and artisans, engage in live cooking demonstrations, and taste the best farm-to-table cuisine the region has to offer. The event lineup will include:
- Interactive workshops exploring wine pairings, cocktail crafting, and sustainable food practices.
- Signature tasting events featuring Columbia’s most renowned chefs and emerging culinary talents.
- Exclusive VIP experiences offering early access and curated menus from top local restaurants.
- The Grand Tasting on April 27 at the historic Robert Mills Estate and Hampton-Preston Mansion, where over 100 of Columbia’s best chefs, brewers, and artisans will present their finest offerings.

A Commitment to Culinary Education and Community Support
At its heart, the Columbia Food & Wine Festival is more than just a tasting event—it’s an opportunity to educate and inspire. Through hands-on workshops, chef-led demonstrations, and expert panels, festivalgoers can deepen their appreciation for the culinary arts and gain insight into the agriculture and culture that shape Columbia’s vibrant food scene.
Additionally, a portion of festival proceeds will be directed toward local hospitality workers and nonprofit organizations, ensuring that the industry continues to thrive long after the event concludes.
