Two men accused of attempting to murder someone in Myrtle Beach have been apprehended in Lynchburg, following a coordinated effort between the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) and the U.S. Marshals Service.
The Arrests
Jayquan O’Shawn Pollard, 26, and Xavier Isiah Austin, 31, were both wanted on outstanding warrants for serious criminal charges. Their arrests come after a detailed investigation linked them to an attempted murder case in Myrtle Beach.
Jayquan O’Shawn Pollard: Pollard, wanted in both Lynchburg and South Carolina, was taken into custody after a brief standoff at a Lynchburg apartment complex. He eventually surrendered to officers. His charges include:
- Attempted Murder
- Burglary
- Criminal Conspiracy
- Failure to Appear (FTA) on an underlying charge of Burglary

Xavier Isiah Austin: Further investigation into Pollard’s case revealed Austin’s involvement. Austin faces multiple charges, including:
- Attempted Murder
- Burglary
- Criminal Conspiracy
- Failure to Appear (FTA) on an underlying charge of Computer Use to Commit a Sex Offense with a Child Under 18
- Failure to Comply with a Court Order

Both Pollard and Austin are Lynchburg residents. LPD has indicated that they may face additional charges related to drug offenses as the investigation continues.
