Two jurors at the center of jury tampering allegations in the Alex Murdaugh murder trial are breaking their silence and speaking publicly for the first time. Myra Crosby, formerly known as “Egg Juror” or Juror #785, and Mandy Pearce, previously referred to as “Juror Z” or Juror #630, have stepped forward to share their experiences.
Crosby and Pearce recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum, which is set to air Tuesday on Fox Nation. Myra Crosby, who was dismissed from the jury, claims she was targeted by the clerk of the court, Becky Hill, due to her indecision regarding Murdaugh’s guilt. Mandy Pearce, who ultimately voted guilty, admitted she was influenced by Hill and pressure from other jurors, even though she still has doubts about Murdaugh’s guilt.
In a preview of the interview, Mandy Pearce reveals that during an evidentiary hearing, she confirmed her verdict was influenced by Hill’s actions. “She made it seem like he was already guilty,” Pearce said, expressing her belief that what Hill did was improper. Pearce also described how Hill regularly interacted with jurors, stating, “She came into the juror room and was talking and interacting with all of us.”
Myra Crosby echoed these concerns, telling MacCallum, “I feel like I was targeted.” She explained how Hill repeatedly asked for her opinion on the case, to which Crosby consistently responded, “undecided.” When asked if she believed her removal from the jury was a mistake, Crosby candidly replied, “In all honesty, I do.”
The interview, titled “Fall of the House of Murdaugh: From Egg to Z,” will be available on Fox Nation on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
That same day, Myra Crosby will also release her tell-all book, “Because Enough is Enough: How Juror 785 was Wrongly Kicked Off the Jury at the Alex Murdaugh Trial.“ Crosby’s book provides an insider’s perspective on the trial and her experience as a juror who was ultimately removed. The book promises to delve into the details of her interactions with court officials and the impact of those interactions on the trial’s outcome.
Stay tuned for this revealing interview and Crosby’s new book as they shed light on the behind-the-scenes happenings of one of the most talked-about trials in recent history.
