Patrick Wilson Arrested on Bench Warrant Charges in Greenville
Greenville, SC — As first reported by the CC News Network, Patrick Wilson, a figure previously linked to the Stephen Smith case, was arrested in Greenville on December 20, 2024, on a bench warrant issued by magistrates. The arrest was carried out by the Sheriff’s Office, and Wilson is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center until what appears to be until January 20th, 2025.
Charge Details
The charge, listed as Charge 100: Bench Warrant – Magistrates, stems from a warrant issued under Warrant number 2023A2330210000. Judge Fisher presided over both the issuance of the warrant and the related proceedings.
Wilson faces a sentence requiring either the payment of a $125 fine and restitution or serving 30 days in jail. On December 20, 2024, the sentence was finalized. The CC News Network reached out to the Greenville Detention Center and they still have him in custody. He is being housed in Housing Unit G1, Building Two.
Text Messages Received
With Wilson still being incarcerated, this media outlet received unsolicited texts from the phone number previously used by Patrick Wilson back in August of this year, around the time of our interview. The person sending us texts never told us their name. Here is a portion of what was exchanged. The first message came though on Saturday December 28th, 2023 at 5:21 PM. The last text sent came through the same day at 11:44 PM.
Wilson’s Phone: “Can I ask you something? Just so you know, that’s why Patrick had a warrant in Greenville.” CC News Network: “I thought his warrant was for not showing up to his Show Cause Hearing on the trailer.”
Wilson’s Phone: What trailer are you speaking about?” CC News Network: “The Receiving Stolen Goods charge. What were you told?” Wilson’s Phone: “The Receiving Stolen Goods charge has nothing to do with a trailer.” CC News Network: “What is it about then?” Wilson’s Phone: “What trailer are you talking about?” CC News Network: “Why is he in jail then?”
Wilson’s Phone: The reason he is in there is not really any of your business because it has nothing to do with Hampton, has nothing to do with Steven’s [sic] death, has nothing to do with the Murdocks [sic], and has nothing to do with anything you’re writing about.
TikTok Message
To make things even more odd. The very next morning, after we had just received the unsolicited texts, we received an unsolicited message via the TikTok app, where we have over 90,000 followers. The sender of the message wishes to remain confidential. It reads in part:
He (Patrick Wilson), stole that trailer from a company he worked for and took it to his families house where they put it on the side of the road and stated he stole it come get it if it’s yours.
I have the picture of the stolen trailer and the sign of it.”

Context of Wilson’s Incarceration
Bench warrants are typically issued when an individual fails to comply with court orders, such as missing a scheduled court appearance or failing to pay fines. The details of Wilson’s violation were confirmed by phone today by the West Greenville Summary Court of Judge Darrell Fisher. Failure to Comply for a Show Cause hearing on a charge of Receiving stolen goods, value $2,000 or less. The arrest reflects the judiciary’s stance on enforcing the Court’s orders.

Detention in Greenville
Wilson’s incarceration at the Greenville County Detention Center places him in a facility that houses inmates awaiting trial or serving short sentences. The center is known for accommodating individuals charged with offenses across Greenville County.
Broader Implications
Patrick Wilson’s legal issues have garnered attention due to his tangential connection to high-profile cases like the Stephen Smith investigation. Although this arrest appears unrelated, it adds to public interest in his legal standing.
Local reactions have ranged from those who see this as a routine legal matter to others speculating about broader implications given Wilson’s previous controversies.
This story is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
