Rep. Nancy Mace Accuses Ex-Fiancé, Others of Sexual Crimes in House Floor Speech
SLED Confirms Investigation, Attorney General Denies Allegations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a highly unusual and personal speech on the U.S. House floor Monday night, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) accused her former fiancé and three other South Carolina men of sexual abuse, voyeurism, and rape.
Mace, who has served in Congress since 2021, spoke for nearly an hour, displaying photos and names of the men she called “predators” on a poster board in the chamber. Her speech, titled “Iron Sharpens Iron,” detailed a series of alleged crimes, including the discovery of thousands of intimate images of women and underage girls taken without consent.
“You have bought yourself a one-way ticket to hell,” Mace declared. “It is nonstop, there are no connections, so I and all your victims can watch you rot in eternity.”
Rep. @NancyMace thanks @jk_rowling for giving her the inspiration to keep fighting for women and girls.
After hearing her speech you should never dare ask again why she does not want to be in a bathroom, locker room or private space with a man ever again. pic.twitter.com/I2jKVlKAmg

Allegations and SLED Investigation
Mace claimed she was drugged and raped after blacking out from consuming two drinks and believes she was “purposefully incapacitated.” She also alleged that she was physically assaulted by her ex-fiancé Patrick Bryant when she confronted him about evidence of these crimes.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) confirmed Monday that it opened an investigation into allegations against Bryant in December 2023, after being contacted by U.S. Capitol Police.

“Since that date, SLED has conducted multiple interviews, served multiple search warrants, and has a well-documented case file that will be available for release upon the conclusion of the case,” SLED spokesperson Renée Wunderlich said in a statement.
Bryant, a Charleston-based software CEO and former chairman of the Charleston Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, categorically denied the allegations in a statement Monday night.
“I take this matter seriously and will cooperate fully with any necessary legal processes to clear my name,” Bryant said.
To date, no criminal charges have been filed against Bryant or the other men Mace named. Officials in the municipalities where they reside confirmed no police reports had been filed related to the alleged crimes.
Mace’s Speech and Political Fallout
During her speech, Nancy Mace used props to illustrate her allegations, including:
- Handcuffs, stating, “If anyone would like to arrest me for standing up for women, here are my wrists.”
- A glass, to represent the amount of alcohol she consumed before allegedly blacking out.
- A camera, which she claimed was hidden on a property owned by two of the men she accused.
The House chamber was mostly empty as Mace spoke, but Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), and Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.) were present, along with a handful of staffers. Mace’s mother and other survivors of sexual assault watched from the gallery.
At one point, Nancy Mace placed a red sticker on her chest labeled “survivor” and handed similar stickers to Boebert, Burchett, and Luna, who wore them in solidarity.
The speech was delivered outside of typical House floor decorum, where remarks are generally reserved for legislation, constituent recognition, or policy discussions.
Mace Accuses South Carolina Attorney General of Negligence
Nancy Mace sharply criticized South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson (R), accusing him of deliberate delays in prosecuting the alleged crimes and failing to act on clear-cut evidence that included videos, photos, and witness statements.
Wilson, a potential 2026 gubernatorial candidate alongside Mace, denied the accusations, with his office calling her statements “categorically false.”
“Ms. Mace either does not understand or is purposefully mischaracterizing the role of the Attorney General,” Wilson’s office said in a statement. “At this time, our office has not received any reports or requests for assistance from any law enforcement or prosecution agencies regarding these matters.”

The statement also noted that:
- Mace has attended multiple events with Wilson over the past six months but never approached him about these allegations.
- She has Wilson’s personal cell phone number and has not contacted him regarding the accusations.
- The Attorney General does not investigate crimes directly but relies on law enforcement agencies to refer cases for prosecution.
Wilson’s office further emphasized his track record, citing his work in strengthening South Carolina’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, leading human trafficking initiatives, and advocating for domestic violence reforms.
“Attorney General Alan Wilson has built his career on protecting the most vulnerable in our state; any statement otherwise is blatantly false and politically motivated,” the office added.
We are ecstatic to hear that Attorney General Alan Wilson has built his career on protecting the most vulnerable in our state. One of those most vulnerable was Kaden Moses of Clinton, South Carolina. He was a 14-year-old boy who was shot by another young person, according to the official death certificate. Based off of what Mr. Wilson has stated about protecting the vulnerable, we at the CC News Network couldn’t be happier that the Attorney General’s Office of the State of South Carolina will actually protect Kaden Moses now and finally prosecute the person responsible for murdering Kaden on December 30, 2023. Certainly, the Attorney General doesn’t allow its citizens, even if they are currently 15-year-old, to get away with murder under his watch.
If Attorney General Wilson won’t ask the Eighth Circuit Solicitor David M. Stumbo prosecute the crime of murder in his own state, maybe U.S. Representative Nancy Mace of South Carolina will add young Kaden Moses to her list in accusing the State, and A.G. Wilson of deliberate delays in prosecuting the alleged crimes and failing to act on clear-cut evidence that included videos, photos, and witness statements.

Congressional Protections and Legal Implications
Mace’s decision to name the four men publicly raised legal and ethical questions.
The “Speech or Debate” Clause in the U.S. Constitution grants members of Congress immunity from legal repercussions for statements made on the House floor in the course of their legislative duties.
In a press release after her speech, Mace defended her remarks, stating:
“Any and all statements made by Members on the House Floor are quintessential ‘legislative acts,’ and protected by the Speech and Debate Clause.”
She further insisted that her statements were not mere allegations but “facts” based on evidence she uncovered.
However, attorneys for at least one of the accused men stated they are considering legal action against Mace for defamation.
Political and Social Impact
Mace has long positioned herself as a vocal advocate for survivors of sexual assault, previously speaking about being raped as a teenager while arguing for exceptions to anti-abortion laws.
In recent months, she has amplified rhetoric against transgender women in women’s spaces, frequently targeting Rep. Sarah McBride (D-Del.), the first openly transgender member of Congress. During Monday’s speech, Mace included several bills restricting transgender women’s rights in a list of laws she claimed were designed to “protect women and girls.”
At the conclusion of her speech, Mace urged anyone with additional information or evidence to report it, providing the phone number 843-212-7048 for potential victims to come forward.
Editorial Note
While Rep. Nancy Mace publicly named four men in her speech, CC News Network is not identifying three of them, as they have not been charged with any crimes or formally identified as subjects of any state investigation.
Analysis & Key Takeaways:
✔ Major political implications: The feud between Mace and Attorney General Wilson could shape South Carolina’s 2026 gubernatorial race.
✔ Legal uncertainty: Mace’s use of the Speech and Debate Clause could shield her from lawsuits, but public accusations without charges could be risky.
✔ Impact on survivors & the GOP: Mace’s high-profile speech may influence sexual assault advocacy, but her partisan ties and policy positions on transgender issues add complexity to the broader conversation.
✔ Kaden Moses’ murder is still not prosecuted, even though the alleged said he loaded the gun, that his fingerprints will be on the gun and bullets, eyewitnesses have stated that the alleged gunman traded clothes that night with his sister in a move allegedly to hide and tamper with GSR on his clothes. The official death certificate states homicide and that Kaden was shot by another person.
🚨 Story Developing: CC News Network will continue to follow SLED’s investigation, any legal action from the accused men, and political fallout in South Carolina.
