SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — Sasha Fleming: Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager who ran away from a residence in Simpsonville earlier this week.
Alexandra “Sasha” Fleming, 16, was last seen on March 27 after leaving an address on Jonesville Road. According to GCSO, she is now officially classified as a runaway juvenile, and her whereabouts remain unknown.
Fleming is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing approximately 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Deputies are urging anyone with information to call the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office at 864-271-5210 or contact Crime Stoppers of Greenville anonymously at 864-23-CRIME.

Ongoing Concern Over Missing Children in South Carolina
Fleming’s disappearance underscores a broader concern: South Carolina continues to see high numbers of missing and runaway juveniles each year. According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), over 250 active cases involving minors were recorded across the state in 2023. Many involve teens between the ages of 13 and 17 who are considered at risk for exploitation, human trafficking, or harm.
In Greenville County, law enforcement has been responding to a rising trend of teenage runaways in recent months, particularly among girls. Officials say swift public engagement and accurate tip reporting are crucial in locating missing youth safely and quickly.
The National Center for Missing and Endangered Inc. encourages families to ensure that identifying information such as photos and physical descriptions are up to date and easily accessible in case of emergencies.
